Additional Submission Key Dates Announced

The Academy’s Board of Governors has approved rules and campaign regulations for the 94th Academy Awards®.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC today announced the 94th Oscars® ceremony will move to Sunday, March 27, 2022.  The show, which will air live on ABC from the Dolby® Theatre in Hollywood, was originally scheduled for February 27, 2022.

Oscar® nominee Steven Yeun will join the ensemble cast slated to present at the 93rd Oscars®, show producers Jesse Collins, Stacey Sher and Steven Soderbergh announced today.  The Oscars will air live on Sunday, April 25, on ABC.

“Surprise!  We’re so excited to welcome Steven to the crew, and he completes our Oscars cast.  No, really, this is it,” said Collins, Sher and Soderbergh.

 Show producers Jesse Collins, Stacey Sher and Steven Soderbergh today announced the ensemble cast to present at the 93rd Oscars®, which airs live on ABC on Sunday, April 25, at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT.

To ensure public safety, support security strategies and facilitate the production of the 93rd Oscars®, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the City of Los Angeles have finalized street closure plans around Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.

The Oscars® show producers Jesse Collins, Stacey Sher and Steven Soderbergh announced today that veteran director Glenn Weiss will return to direct the 93rd Oscars.  The Oscars will air live on ABC and broadcast outlets worldwide on Sunday, April 25, 2021.

“Our plan is that this year’s Oscars will look like a movie, not a television show, and Glenn has embraced this approach and come up with ideas of his own on how to achieve this. We’re thrilled to have him as part of the brain trust,” said Collins, Sher and Soderbergh.
