Technical Achievement Award is given annually for those achievements that sufficiently contribute to the progress of the motion picture arts and sciences. A printed certificate detailing the achievement is presented to the winners at the award ceremony.
Achievements receiving Scientific and Technical Awards need not have been developed and introduced during the awards year.
